Ohne ihn wäre das Bond-Franchise wohl nicht so populär, wie es heute ist! Seine Musik ist einzigartig und auch anderen Stücke sind wunderschön, wie z.B. die Titelmusik von "Jenseits voN Afrika"!

Ja, sehr schade um Ihn. Seine Musik bleibt aber unsterblich.

Scoular In Suspected Suicide

British actress Angela Scoular died after allegedly drinking poisonous chemicals in a suspected suicide attempt, according to a U.K. report.

The wife of comedian Leslie Phillips was taken to hospital on Monday after paramedics were called to deal with an emergency at the couple's London home. Doctors were unable to save her and she was later pronounced dead.

Police are treating her death as "unexplained" and detectives are currently investigating.

Reports suggest the former Bond girl, 65, who had been suffering from bowel cancer, took her own life by ingesting toxic chemicals, while Carry On star Phillips admits his wife was struggling to deal with her illness.

He tells Britain's Daily Mail, "I didn't know she was going to take her own life. I suspected that it was a possibility because she had gone under, into this deep sadness. She had had a ghastly time.

"She never got free of the illness. I felt very sorry for her. Other illnesses had started to creep in. After three years of cancer she was always getting something else.

"She did her best but it got her down. Cancer takes you to the lowest places. It's a very tough thing to live with. She was weakened by the cancer and then depressed, deeply depressed. She was all over the place." »

Am 26. Dezember 2011 starb Schauspieler Petro Armendariz Jr. Er war Sohn von Kerim Bey Darsteller Petro Armendariz (aus Liebesgrüße aus Moskau) und spielte selbst im James Bond Film Lizenz zum Töten (1989) den Präsidenten der lateinamerikanischen Republik in der sich Bösewicht Sanchez versteckt hält.

Legendary Hollywood composer Marvin Hamlisch -- one of the few people in the world to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award -- suffered from brain damage in the weeks before his death but ultimately succumbed to lung failure, this according to his death certificate.

TMZ obtained the document, filed in L.A., which shows Hamlisch died on August 6th primarily from respiratory arrest (lung failure) ... caused by a combination of anoxic brain encephalopathy (failure of oxygen to reach the brain) and hypertension (high blood pressure).

The document shows Hamlisch suffered from A.B.E. in the weeks before his death, though it's unclear if he was aware of the condition or exhibiting symptoms.

Hamlisch won 2 Academy Awards for composing the music for "The Way We Were" and one Oscar for "The Sting." He also worked on music for "Sophie's Choice," "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "A Chorus Line."

He was 68.

Größere Bekanntheit hatte er als Songwriter von Burt Bacharach (u.a Komponist des Soundtracks der Casino Royale Parodie 1967).

Heute verstarb Schauspieler Bernard Horsfall bekannt als Campell in OHMSS. Er spielte auch mit Roger Moore in Simon Templar, Die Zwei oder Gold.
