Leider hat sie nur ein (großartiges) Album herausgebracht, anschließend hörte man nie wieder von ihr. Wäre aber ne tolle Wahl.

Halt - ich nehme alles zurück. habe gerade bei Amazon geshen, dass sie ja doch ein 2. Album veröffentlicht hat. Ist aber auch schon länger her (1997)

Chris Cornell says he is Casino Royale theme song writer and performer

According to an interview in a Finnish newspaper, singer songwriter Chris Cornell has revealed he has written the theme song to the 21st James Bond film "Casino Royale".

Cornell will also perform the title track. This would make him the first male lead vocalist to perform a 007 song since A-Ha in 1987 for "The Living Daylights".

He was quoted as saying (translated), "I haven´t seen the new Bond fully, because it is still being edited, but I have seen several clips of it. Absolutely amazing movie. Very different than earlier Bonds."

Songs written by Chris Cornell have been featured in several blockbusters such as "Singles", "Collateral Damage", "Great Expectations" and "True Romance". He was a founding member and lead singer of Sound Garden, and as well as a solo career, now heads up rock band Audioslave. His most recent hit is "Be Yourself".

Naja...OK, wenn man sich "Steel Rain" anhört, ein bisschen Bondlike hört es sich doch an. Ich hoffe er macht ein etwas ruhigeres Titellied, sonst wirds zu abgehoben....

Steel Rain hört sich - jedenfalls in der Amazon Hörprobe - doch sehr gut an. Würde mir gefallen, sowas in die Richtung.

In collaboration with composer David Arnold, Cornell has written and will perform the main title song 'You Know My Name' for the film. Casino Royale will be the first film since 1983's Octopussy to not feature a main title song that matches the name of the film.

He joins the ranks of Madonna, Sheryl Crow, Duran Duran, and Paul McCartney as performers who have also written the main title song.

"I've always loved Chris' work, both as a writer and as an artist, and had hoped someday to find the right film to inspire him... His music is both soulful and tough. It was the perfect complement to Daniel Craig and Casino Royale, says Lia Vollack, President, Worldwide Music for Columbia Pictures.

Cornell is best known for his previous work with both Soundgarden and Audioslave. He released his solo album, Euphoria Morning, in late 1999 and has also provided songs to the Great Expectations and Mission: Impossible II soundtracks. The third album from Audioslave, currently titled Revelations, is set for release in September 2006.
